Multilevel Pick Modules
Pick Modules are engineered rack systems that integrate storage and picking across multiple levels to save space and to process and move customer orders more efficiently through a distribution center. Modules are typically used to support conveyor lines that operate on each level to facilitate progressive order selection in either full case or split case picking. With integrated conveyors, pick modules are used to help expedite the order fulfillment process.
To optimize flow efficiency, products to be picked are often staged in pallet flow or carton flow lanes that in turn feeds product to the pick aisle. Quantities are selected, placed onto the conveyor or into an open container and then transported away for downstream processing.
